Vascular amputations are mostly preventable. They are an expression of inequity and inefficiency of the Health System.
It is time for robust action to save legs, life and rights of both Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) and Buerger’s Disease patients.

International stable collaborations to:
- Inform and educate citizens and patients about how to prevent PAD and on Buerger’sDisease;
- Make preventive measures available for and familiar to citizens and patients;
- Obtain participation by Institutions in this area and make them aware about theEquity and Ethics of prevention and make prevention a priority for more economical Health Systems;
- Encourage research on PAD as well as on Buerger’s Disease through international collaborations.
