XVII Kongres Polskiego Towarzystwa Angiologicznego

The annual Polish Society of Angiology Congress serves as a leading national forum for scientific exchange and professional collaboration in vascular medicine. The meeting brings together angiologists, vascular surgeons, cardiologists, diabetologists, general practitioners, and specialists from related disciplines involved in the care of patients with vascular diseases.

Scientific Focus
The central theme of this year’s Congress will be the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases, an area that remains a major clinical and public health challenge.

The scientific program will include:

updates on current guidelines and standards of care in arterial and venous diseases,
state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques, including non-invasive hemodynamic assessment and vascular imaging,
innovative therapeutic strategies,
interdisciplinary sessions dedicated to high cardiovascular risk patients,
original research presentations and selected clinical case discussions.

In addition, the Congress will offer hands-on practical workshops, designed to enhance clinical competencies and refine skills directly applicable to everyday practice like sclerotherapy and USG doppler.

As part of the Congress activities, we will also conduct Ankle–Brachial Index (ABI) measurements, promoting early detection of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and raising public awareness of vascular risk.

This initiative will:

emphasize the importance of non-invasive vascular screening,
highlight ABI as a simple, reproducible, and guideline-recommended diagnostic tool,
reinforce the role of angiologists in cardiovascular risk stratification and prevention.
The ABI assessment session will serve both educational and preventive purposes, integrating scientific discussion with real-world clinical practice.
