The event scheduled for March 30 is a screening day for vascular diseases, with particular focus on peripheral arterial disease. The physicians of the Angiology Unit will be available in the hospital atrium to meet patients who come to the facility that day, assess their vascular risk, and, if necessary, administer specific tests to rule out the presence of lower-limb arterial disease.

A walk will then be organized in the afternoon (weather permitting) in the park in front of the hospital as a demonstration that walking is beneficial for the arteries. Physical exercise certainly improves walking capacity and endurance, even in patients who experience claudication due to peripheral arterial disease.
